Afghanistan wins toss, elects to bat first against Pakistan



London: 29, June, 2019: Afghanistan won the toss and decided to fat first against Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup match at Leeds, here on Saturday.

Pakistan looks to stay in the hunt of a semi-final spot as they take on Afghanistan today. 


Earlier, Paksitna defeat New Zealand by 6 wickets.

ANP Peshawar president Sartaj Khan gunned down in Gulbahar Area

PESHAWAR: 29,JUNE,2019: ANP’s Peshawar city president Sartaj Khan has been shot dead in the firing incident in Gulbahar area of Peshawar on Saturday. According to the police, unidentified assailants were on motorcycles, who were opened fire on him, as a result, ANP’s Peshawar city president Sartaj Khan was died on the spot. His body was taken to Lady Reading Hospital after which it was handed over to his family, police said. Sartaj Khan was from Charsadda and elected as the ANP’s Peshawar city president. President Alvi reaches Gilgit-Baltistan to attend eco-tourism conference

GILGIT: 29,JUNE,2019: President Dr. Arif Alvi has reached Gilgit on Saturday for a week-long official visit to Gilgit-Baltistan, sources said. After his arrival, Governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman warmly welcomed President Arif Alvi at the Gilgit Airport. According to the sources, the president Arif Alvi will attend the concluding ceremony of the three-day international conference on mountaineering, eco-tourism and hospitality in Hunza.  President Alvi will also be the chief guest on the closing ceremony of Tour-de Khunjerab Cycle Race tomorrow (June 30).
